The title I chose for my final piece was “deforestation: what’s at risk. The overall theme for my final pieces was the road ahead.

I created a body of work, these are canvases painted with acrylic paint. The first of my two pieces is a set of flowers, because we are at high risk of losing them if we continue living the way we do. Flowers are significant as they make up a large segment of nature that surrounds us. The second of my two pieces is a tree different coloured leaves actions to represent the seasons. Trees are significant as they are the biggest risk part of deforestation as the cutting down of trees is the biggest problem, this means if we continue to cut them down, seasons as we know them will cease to exist.

I will be going onto the next level of study which is the FDA contemporary designer maker course to further develop my skills and techniques.
